1. I live inside the city limits of Willis and I think my pet has been impounded. How can I find out?

If you think your pet has been impounded you should act immediately. Willis has an interlocal agreement with the City of Conroe. All impounded animals from Willis are transported to the Conroe Animal Shelter located at 407 S. Sgt. Ed Holcomb Blvd, Conroe, TX 77304. Telephone: (936) 522-3550. You should contact us first at (936)856-4611 and give us a description of your pet.

2. I live outside the city limits but have a Willis address and I think my pet was impounded. How can I find out?

If you think your pet has been impounded you should act immediately. All impounds outside of the city limits are performed by Montgomery County Animal Control. they may be reached at (936)442-7738

3. I am not sure if I am located inside the city limits or not and I think my pet has been impounded. Who should I call?

To find out where you are located, please check our city limit map. Then you will know which agency to contact.

4. What fees are associated with claiming my pet once it has been impounded from within the city limits of Willis?

Due to the interlocal agreement with the City of Conroe, you will be subject their reclaim fees. Currently they charge $25 for the first day and $10 for each day after. In addition to the reclaim fees you will also most likely receive a citation for animal at large. Citation penalties vary and you may contact Municipal Courts for more information.
